Elijah Ray Gastelum, age 15, died, April 21, 2017. The son of Brooke Martinez and Paul Gastelum. Brother of Brandon and Noah Gastelum, and Ashlynn Murphy. Half-brother to Paul and Lacy Gastelum. Grandson of Gary and Linda Martinez, Bill and Karen Meador. Nephew to Devan Salazar, Jesica and Travis Hughes, Erin and Doug Schleimer, and Brandon Martinez. Cousin to Jordan, Taylor and Sydney Rivas, Robbie and David Hughes, Timothy Martinez, Logan English, Jayden Bentz, and Austin Martinez and so many friends.

Elijah was born in Grand Junction and attended High School at Palisade. He lived for sports, and enjoyed Baseball and MMA the most. He always carried a ready smile, and a great sense of humor. His drive for competition was infectious, and he usually had his whole family and friends involved in what he was doing. 

Services will be provided by Palisade Funeral Home at Clifton Christian Church, Friday, April 28th, beginning at 10:00 am.
